Who's behind Hundelieb?
That's us — Joshi and Sibi. Raised in the countryside, drawn to Vienna by our passion for technology and design.
How did the idea come about?
Growing up with animals, we couldn't imagine life without them. But city living — small apartments, no garden, demanding careers — made having our own dog impossible. So what to do?
You don't need to own a dog to spend regular time with one. And at the same time, you're helping dog owners while giving the dog more attention, exercise and fun.
Win-Win-Win!
That's how Hundelieb was born. We quickly realised many others were in similar situations:
- Families who want to try having a dog before committing to one
- Students who'd love some furry company on their walks
- Professionals who can't take on the full responsibility but love spending time with dogs
- Retirees with plenty of time who enjoy animal companionship
Dog owners benefit equally: No expensive dog sitters needed. Even for just a few hours, your dog gets a free bonus walk with someone who truly cares.
The third win goes to the dog — our experience shows that more human contact and variety do them a world of good.
